Pink Sugar Scented Products from Etsy!

Okay so let me start off by saying I am SUPER satisfied with these purchases. I've been wanting little good smelling products that I could throw in my purse and take with me wherever I go. However, I wanted something that wouldn't clash with my perfume, Pink Sugar by Aquolina. Aquolina brand products are a bit too pricey for my taste, so I did a little searching. After a ton of research, I made the amazing decision to use Etsy for the first time. For those of you who haven't heard of Etsy, it's a website where you can buy and sell homemade products and items. And let me tell you, I am now IN LOVE with Etsy. I ended up purchasing a hand/body lotion, hand sanitizer, and travel perfume.

I'll start off with the perfume I ordered from the seller DelightYourSenses. It's a "pink sugar" type scent like all the products I'll be mentioning and comes with (1) 8 ml fine mist perfume (1) 4 ml roll on perfume.

If you're unfamiliar with Pink Sugar, it's described as having notes of: Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder.
In my opinion, it smells like cotton candy, vanilla, caramel, and musk. Basically, it's heaven for a sweet tooth like me. It's not a childish cotton candy scent but is extremely sweet and warm. I wear this scent daily and I've always received compliments from both genders. As far as the smell, I have a hard time telling the difference between this fragrance and Aquolinas Pink Sugar, which is awesome. I've been loving the convenience of a small roller-ball and a little spray on perfume that can easily fit in the smallest of purses. The roller-ball is my favorite because you can apply it very subtly and none of the product is wasted. This fragrance is long lasting and didn't at all disappoint! I got a total of .12 fl oz of product for 7.25, 5.00 for the actual product and 2.25 for shipping. Also, the seller even included a little sample of body lotion in the scent "beach". Something I love about Etsy sellers is that a lot of them seem to give samples! The scent of the lotion smells clean and really does remind me of the beach, and the lotion is really great quality.

I also ordered a body lotion from the seller BonLogicIt's 2 oz of hand/body lotion in the scent pink sugar.

What impressed me most with this lotion is the awesome ingredients! It's made with goat milk as well as natural oils and vitamin E to truly nourish and hydrate your skin. The ingredients are:
Distilled water, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, emulsified wax, stearic acid, gylcerin, aloe vera, propylene gycol, vitamin E, diazolidinyl urea, idopropynyl, butylcarbarmate and fragrance.
The smell is light but still present, and lingers on your skin leaving the warm comforting scent of caramel and cotton candy. It has a nice thick texture and really moisturizes my dry hands and elbows. The seller included little slivers of her handmade soaps in 5 different scents for me to try out, one of them being pink sugar. They all smell divine and are great quality soaps. I paid a total of 4.00 for this, 2.75 for the product and 1.25 for shipping.

Lastly, I ordered a hand sanitizer from the seller KleanKristi. I've always carried around a Bath and Body hand sanitizer, but when I saw this I had to try it out. And I am so glad I did! It has better ingredients than the average hand sanitizer and smells nothing of alcohol! The scent is straight up pink sugary goodness, and it leaves my hands feeling soft and smelling great. I applied this in class the other day and a boy next to me actually asked "what is that amazing fragrance I'm smelling??" And after showing him he asked if he could use some despite the feminine scent. Included was a sample of handmade soap in the delicious scent, creamsicle. I've always been opposed to bars of soap because I've been so used to them having drying ingredients, but this stuff really moisturizes and has great ingredients. This seller sells an abundance of soaps and they are SO cute!! She sells soaps that look so cute you'd feel guilty using it because you don't want to mess it up. This purchase was a total of 4.70 with 2.75 for the product and 1.95 for shipping.

You guys should definitely check out these Etsy sellers, I communicated with all three of them and each was extremely helpful and all of these products are A+ quality for a great price. Each product is also available in alternative scents so if pink sugar isn't your thing, check out what else they have! And the sellers often times offer other fragrances that aren't listed, and Etsy allows you to personalize any purchase through communication with your seller.
Enjoy!!

Guardian Wilderness DEET-Free Bug Repellent Review!

My whole life I've always hated bug spray. As a kid my mom would douse me in OFF bug repellent during soccer games or any time I played outside, and it was terrible. I've always resorted to just avoiding bug spray and having to swat away bugs myself, but that just leaves me annoyed and covered in mosquito bites. Though it sucked, I still didn't want to coat my skin in greasy bug repellent, especially when it contains DEET. Most bug repellents contain DEET, which is a chemical that prevents bugs from eating you alive. Using it topically has been debated over for quite a while. 100% DEET has been proven capable of melting plastic, but is said to be safe when used in smaller amounts. It is very effective in preventing bug bites, but I don't feel safe putting chemicals on my skin that could be potentially dangerous.

Guardian has developed a healthy alternative to DEET bug sprays, using plant based ingredients to keep bugs away. It even claims to work more effectively than bug sprays containing 15% DEET. I wasn't sure how effective this bug spray would be, but honestly I am so satisfied! When applied, it doesn't sit on your skin or leave any greasy residue. The only way you would know that it's there is because of the smell. It does smell slightly strong, but that's kind of expected with bug repellents. However, it doesn't smell like chemicals. Whenever I spray it, It doesn't make me cough and turn my head like bug sprays tend to do. This spray almost smells herbal, and some might not like the scent but I honestly find it comforting. I first used this while tanning just to see how effective it is, and after an hour I was left with no bug bites! It was nice being able to lay out without swatting at my legs every few minutes. This formula is said to last 8 hours though, so to test it more accurately I used it at a family cookout. I was outside from 5:30-11:00 and the entire time I didn't get bit. A few family members were complaining of mosquitoes and I gladly shared this bug spray with them, leaving everyone able to enjoy our family time without worrying about pests. If you're looking for an effective bug spray with safe ingredients, I'd check this out. You can find this on Amazon for 6.99 with free shipping after a 25$ purchase.

I was provided this product for testing purposes by Influenster, but this did not in any way affect my opinions on the product. They only asked that I provide my honest opinion, negative or positive.
